Refried Beans

Refried Beans
(make 2-3 side servings)
(I got this recipe from Simply Recipes, love her stuff!)


1 can Kidney beans
1 small onion chopped
1/4 cup water
Salt to taste
1/2 cup shredded Old Cheddar Cheese


1. Pre-boil the rinsed beans for 20 minutes.

2. While the beans are boiling, melt oil or butter in a pan and cook the onion until it's soft.

3. Add the beans and use a fork or potato masher to mash them up.

4. Cook the beans on medium, adding water, salt and the cheese. Mix it all up. It's done when the cheese is all melted.
