Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce
From Williams Sonoma "Thanksgiving"
(4-6 side servings)

1 cup apple cider or apple juice
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp water
1 small cinnamon stick
1.5 cups fresh cranberries


1. In a saucepan, combine the cider, sugar, water and cinnamon. Bring to a simmer and stir to dissolve the sugar.

2. Add the cranberries and simmer for 10 minutes (you'll hear them popping as they cook).

3. Let cool at room temperature, transfer to bowl and refrigerate for 24 hours. Remove cinnamon stick before serving.
