Alfredo Sauce

Alfredo Sauce
(Adapted from Williams Sonoma "Sauce")
(makes 1 portion for pasta, or enough sauce for two subs)


3/4 cup 2% milk
1/4 cup heavy cream (I used whipping cream)
2 Tbs. unsalted butter
1/2 cup grated Parm
Dash nutmeg
Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste


1. Bring milk, cream and butter to a simmer on medium heat, whisking often to make sure it doesn't burn.

2. Remove from heat, mix in Parm, nutmeg, salt and pepper.

Serve immediately.

**Note: If the sauce is too thin, you can add more cheese, or put it on the stove and let it simmer a wee bit, whisking constantly.
